Last Thursday, our 10th-grade Outdoor Pursuits students took on fly-fishing at the Little Spokane River—with plenty of laughs along the way. From tangled lines and near misses to the occasional neighbor whack, they practiced their casting skills—and somehow managed to catch and release at least one trout!
Thanks to Melanie Mildrew’s expert, ever-patient guidance, they learned the delicate art of fly-fishing.
