Parent Community

Every family is a valued part of the community. Saint George’s has a proud tradition of productive relationships between school and home, and we consider that crucial to the success and well-being of our students.

We are a friendly school, and parents are always welcome on campus. Some have volunteered to work in the Lower School classrooms; others assisted the School Advancement office or helped organize class trips. Many are devoted supporters of the sports teams or faithful attendees of plays, concerts, science fairs, and special events.

The result is a close-knit, caring community where everyone is committed to supporting the best education available in the Spokane area.

The Parents Association

The Parents Association organizes volunteers for events that enrich students, support teachers, and honor staff at the school. The key mission of the Saint George’s Parents Association (PA) is to work with our teachers, staff, and administrators to promote a sense of community within the school.

This environment enables both the SGS staff and students to meet and exceed the high standards of excellence set forth by the school.

Regardless if you are a new or returning parent, we encourage you to participate in the SGS Parents Association. Opportunities for involvement within the PA are available no matter how little or great the time commitment you can make. Just let us know what kind of program, event, or activity interests you and when you are available to help.

Every time I volunteer, I meet new people and feel more connected to the Saint George’s community. Finding ways to be involved at school has made a positive impact on my children’s learning.

Parent Volunteers

While not required, Parent Volunteers regularly dedicate their time by volunteering for many opportunities throughout the year (large and small) such as the Annual Gala & Auction, musical and drama productions, dance advisors and chaperones, and many more.

Parent Ambassadors

Parent Ambassadors get to know their child’s class on a new level by communicating important school information to parents and coordinating class and parent socials throughout the school year.

Meetings & Events

Develop relationships with other parents, faculty, administration, and trustees through positive communication within the SGS community. Check the Website Calendar for notifications of upcoming meetings and events!
