All the world’s a stage for Saint George’s drama students. At Saint George’s your child will perform – brilliantly. Upper School students offer rousing musicals (Little Shop of Horrors, Pirates of Penzance), romantic comedies (The Pajama Game, The Drowsy Chaperone), and enduring classics (Our Town, The Fantastics, Amahl and the Night Visitors) that bring out the best in our actors.
Students of all grade levels have the opportunity to perform on stage. First graders get wild in their Rumpus in the Rainforest songs each year, while the fifth graders put on musicals such as Alice in Wonderland or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory each spring. SchoolHouse Rock songs from the 1970’s energize the sixth graders each year, while the seventh and eighth graders stage their own productions such as Seussical or The Wizard of Oz.
The 5th graders sing “Pure Imagination” at the close of their musical “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” on May 17, 2019 in Founders Theater.
The SGS drama students sing “Beethoven Day” from their performance of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown on Sept. 20, 2019.
