The OUTDOOR CLUB is hosting a camping trip on May 17th-18th for Grades 5 through 7! Introduce yourself to the outdoor program by participating in a unique camping opportunity. This trip can accommodate up to 16 students, so if your student is interested in joining, make sure you sign up soon!
We will be introducing basic camp craft skills and hiking in Northrup Canyon and on Steamboat Rock. We will have some Upper School students working as mentors on this trip. This trip is intended to help students start building basic skills in setting up a tent, hiking, and exploring the outdoors, and how to take care of yourself on outings. For students to be successful, they need to have the correct gear for the trip. Please see the list below.
Dave Holte, Julie Huber, and Melanie Mildrew will chaperone this outing to Steamboat Rock State Park Campground. We will pick students up at SGS or at Grocery Outlet.
We will leave on Saturday, May 17th at:
- 9:00AM from SGS (return at 4PM on 5/18)
- 9:30AM from Grocery Outlet (return at 3:30PM on 5/18)
