This past Friday, the Lower School celebrated a festive Valentine-themed assembly filled with enthusiasm and creativity! Stanley kicked things off with a warm morning welcome and the Pledge of Allegiance. Adeline, Shivu, Amelia, and Micaela then led the audience in our Opening Song.
Sara Smith announced our Dragon of the Week, Jen Ward, who was recognized for her tireless efforts in rescuing a lost black cat found on campus and successfully reuniting it with its owners—a heartwarming story with a wonderful ending! Adriana and Liv had the audience in stitches with a charming and hilarious skit, while Jazmin captivated us with a beautiful dance performance.
Next, Colette, Evelyn, and Micaela announced the upcoming third-grade business advertisement, generating excitement for their entrepreneurial endeavors. The first grade then hopped on stage to perform an adorable Valentine’s song. Following that, the third grade showcased their knowledge of a variety of recorders, describing each instrument in detail.
Lastly, we honored the fifth-grade Math is Cool Team for their impressive efforts, accompanied by a classic “Power Woosh!” from the audience, celebrating their hard work.
It was a delightful Valentine’s Assembly–Great job, Dragons!
