Seven 11th‑grade students preparing to conduct and present an experiment at the Seattle Nursing Research Consortium conference completed a full pitch last week in front of classmates and faculty. The team created a polished PowerPoint and ran a mock presentation using results from their class simulation, practicing clear explanations, defending methodological choices, and handling tough audience questions.
The rehearsal sharpened their data interpretation and public‑speaking skills and boosted confidence before the conference, which offers a rare, real‑world research experience for junior clinical scientists and potential opportunities for publication.
