All Staff Recognition Luncheon

Once a year, parents from all classes come together to organize a special luncheon for our teachers, administrators, bus drivers, and coaches. During this event, our teachers and staff members receive thoughtful gifts generously donated by SGS families. This gathering offers a unique opportunity for parents from across all divisions to work together.

The success of this event depends on the support of our parent community. Your presence and support are essential in making this occasion a success and expressing our gratitude to our dedicated educators and staff.

Back to School Night

Back to School Night is a valuable event that fosters a sense of community between the school, parents, and students. During Back to School Night, parents will have the chance to meet with teachers and administrators, explore the classrooms, and gain insights into the teaching methodologies and assessment strategies that will be employed during the school year. Teachers may present an overview of the curriculum, discuss classroom policies, and address any questions or concerns parents may have.

Back-to-School Coffee

It’s not just a cup of coffee; it’s a chance to forge lasting connections, share laughter, and revel in the exciting journey ahead. Traditionally held the first day of school in each division, save the date and join us for this special occasion.

Dragon Dance

Every fall, the Saint George’s students kick off the school year in grand style with the spectacular Dragon Dance. Picture this: the senior class leads the charge, proudly helming the dragon’s head, while every class follows, united under the vibrant canopy of their class banners held high. It’s a mesmerizing sight, a living testament to the close-knit unity and spirit of our K-12 SGS community.

Amidst cheers and applause, each class takes center stage, igniting the year with their infectious enthusiasm. But there’s more to this tradition – our seasoned seniors, who have been part of the SGS family since kindergarten, warmly introduce the newest additions to our Dragon clan: the incoming kindergarteners, standing tall on the steps of the graduation platform.

The Dragon Dance isn’t just an event; it’s a dazzling display of togetherness, a joyful symphony of past and future Dragons, and the perfect way to set the stage for an incredible year ahead. Join us in this extraordinary celebration!

Homecoming

Homecoming at Saint George’s is a beloved tradition that never fails to bring joy and excitement to our school community! Students arrive dressed to impress in costumes that match the theme, and our Seniors traditionally don togas in honor of their final year at SGS. It’s a night filled with fun and celebration!

Lower School Parade

Visualize a vibrant parade of costumes meandering across our campus, converging at the Middle and Upper School areas. There, our older students extend a warm welcome, sharing treats and goodies to bridge the generational gap and nurture unity.

This tradition encapsulates the heart of our school community and is a heartwarming display of the bonds that tie our students together. Laughter abounds as students exchange treats, reveling in the joy of being part of an interconnected school family.

MS/US Oktoberfest

After a morning of dedicated PSAT testing and a themed day, both Middle School and Upper School students are treated to a well-deserved lunch meticulously coordinated by The Parent Association. To ensure the success of this event, we are relying on the invaluable support of our parent community. Your involvement is the vital ingredient that transforms this celebration into an unforgettable experience.

Each grade will receive a list of items they are responsible for providing, to be dropped off in the morning of the event. While dedicated parent volunteers work diligently to set the stage for the feast, our exceptional facilities staff takes care of the BBQ duties. Serving a multitude of students in less than an hour is a remarkable testament to the strength of our incredible volunteer community that unites year after year for this cherished tradition.

We genuinely hope you can join us for this year’s event. It’s not just an opportunity to revel in the festivities but also a chance to forge meaningful connections with fellow parents. Your participation enriches the experience and underscores the sense of togetherness that defines our school community.

MS/US Winter Feast

As the last class of the semester ends, and before students and teachers take well deserve winter break, they come together to celebrate not only the joys of the season but also the connections that have been forged throughout the year. Winter Feast aka “Spaghetti Feed” is more than just a meal. It is a special tradition that brings together MS and US as well as many alumni for a plentiful meal. Each grade receives an assigned food item to bring on a day of the feast. And as they are taking their final exams the parent volunteers get busy setting up a spread for over 300 students/ staff/ alumni and parents. From hearty spaghetti dishes adorned with a variety of sauces, toppings, and secret family recipes, to delectable sides like garlic bread, salads, and sweet treats – the winter feast is a true testament to community and amazing volunteers which without our feast wouldn’t exist. This tradition thrives on the efforts of countless individuals, so in anticipation of continuing it this year, we hope you will join us!

Parents’ Night Out – Casino Night!

We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new addition to our school’s event calendar – the inaugural Parents’ Night Out Casino Night! While our Upper School students have enjoyed their own Casino Night for years, it’s time for the parents to have their turn at a night of glamour, games, and socializing.

Just like all our other amazing SGS events, Parents’ Night Out Casino Night wouldn’t be possible without the support of dedicated parent volunteers. Whether it’s contributing rifle prizes, managing game tables, serving delectable snacks, assisting with check-in, or counting chips, we’re counting on our wonderful parent community to make this night a memorable success. Please let us know if you are interested in helping with this event.

Parent Portal Registation Widget

This would go on the parent portal page and replace the current section that says “After School Enrichment Clubs”. That section would need to be renamed to something like “Registrations”. This would mean if a parent ever needs to register for anything at all, they always go to the same place.

The only caviat to this approach is that there can not be a calendar on the initial tab which is why the initial tab currently says “Please Select a Tab to Register for Events”. However we can put anything else on this initial tab, including buttons that will automatically open one of the other tabs when clicked.

Please Select a Tab to Register for Events!
