Welcome to the latest issue of Page 5 News Crew! (Brought to you by the 5th Grade Reporting Team)
This series covers how we (the 5th grade class) will create Madagascar Jr., the Musical, as we move towards the BIG SHOW on May 15th.Â
This week we worked on choreography, learning the dances for “I Like to Move It,” “Steak,” “Together Forever,” and “Living in Paradise.” We watched the choreography videos, then learned each piece step by step. Now we’re practicing to perfect it. We also interviewed our dance captains—Kaleia, Nora, and Brooklyn—who have been working hard. It’s a real challenge to sing and dance at the same time. In addition to choreography, we completed the blocking for “It’s Showtime,” the opening number, and we’re practicing the songs with the full cast. We also learned “Relax, Be Cool.”
Until next time!
