The Spokane Scholars Foundation is a local organization that partners with high schools from across the greater Spokane area to recognize academic excellence in six core disciplines: English, Fine Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, & World Languages. Every year, our Upper School teachers deliberate and select six outstanding seniors to represent Saint George’s at the awards banquet, which took place last week, where each scholar is introduced individually and presented with a personalized medallion, a certificate of achievement, and a letter of commendation from their local member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Each scholar must also assemble an extensive application that highlights their achievements within and beyond the classroom. Being nominated is a tremendous honor! The top five scholars in each category, as determined by a panel of judges, are awarded significant cash prizes. Congratulations to Andre, who was named 2nd in World Languages and will receive a $4,000 scholarship!  Â
A huge congratulations to all of our SGS Spokane Scholars!
