The Great PumpkinFest is back at Brick West, and Kiah and the Kirsch family are once again selling pumpkins to support her club basketball team, S2P, as well as several organizations serving the Spokane community, including the Love Your Neighbor Foundation and SNAP Spokane. Â
S2P, which stands for Shoes 2 Play, is a nonprofit organization that purchases shoes for students in need throughout the greater Spokane area. To date, Kiah’s team has raised funds to provide shoes and socks for 143 students in the Cheney and Spokane school districts. The team has also supported the Ronald McDonald House with basic necessities and provided packaged food for Generation Alive. Â
PumpkinFest offers another wonderful opportunity for the group to get involved and help those in need. All pumpkins are $10, regardless of size. Pumpkin varieties range from large pumpkins to traditional medium-sized pumpkins and smaller decorative varieties. If you are interested in purchasing one, contact MS Teacher and Coach, Brad Kirsch at brad.kirsch@sgs.org to place an order. When placing your order with Brad, please share your preferred size and color (there are: orange, yellow, greens and whites, warty, and bags of small pumpkins). Â
The Great PumpkinFest will run for the next four weekends at Brick West, featuring line dancing on Friday evenings, face painting and a free petting zoo on Saturdays and Sundays, and live music throughout the festival. Â
Support a great cause while finding the perfect pumpkin for fall!Â
