Math Is Cool Team Wins Eastern Washington Title

Congratulations to the SGS Upper School Math Is Cool competitors who faced off with students from the biggest high schools across far eastern Washington at SFCC on Oct. 25. The 9th-10th grade MIC team won the Epsilon Division (most schools were in this division). Here are some of their individual awards:

The winning 9th-10th team included Reagan Heller, Andre Jiang, Preston Sevigny, Zichun Wang, Zach You, Jaden Young, and Kathy Zhang. We look forward to your future success at the statewide Math is Cool Masters Competition in Moses Lake on Saturday, December 2nd.

Our 11th grade team of Oliver Ling, Robert Deforest, and Viviane Simmons lacked a fourth person on their team, but still played some strong rounds, including besting Mt. Spokane HS in the college bowl round. Go Dragons!
