Lego League Explore Teams Share Projects

It’s a LEGO World! The 3rd and 4th graders on the Lego League Explore teams presented their elaborate projects in the Lower School library recently. The Lower School students, parents and teachers were fascinated by the projects, which had programmable moving parts. See a Photo Gallery and a Short Video of their presentations.

“This season’s challenge focused on how we use engineering and technology in arts and entertainment,” explained coach Laura Bradford. “Each team chose one of their favorite hobbies or activities that they wanted to share, then built a LEGO model, one motorized part, and a poster to share their learning journey.”

Our 4th grade team, LEGO F.C., composed of Ishaan, Brandon, and Vincent, shared their love of soccer by building a stadium and several other supportive offices out of LEGOs. Their motorized part was a delivery robot that automatically unloaded its cargo for the soccer offices.

Our 3rd grade team, LEGO Dragon Readers, composed of Logan, Sullivan, and Alex, shared their love of reading by building a LEGO “reading district” with a library, museum, book shops, and entertainment to draw people in. Their motorized part was a spinning stage that also played music.
