Kindergarten visitation days for 2023 will be Tuesday, February 7th, Tuesday, March 21st, and Tuesday, May 2nd from 8:30am to 11:00am. Do you have a child that is ready for Kindergarten next year? “Thank you to David Demand, Melanie Mildrew, emcees Andee, Hrair, and Elliot, and to all of the students involved in producing and performing,” said Upper School Head Francesca Mulazzi. “Talent Show is probably my favorite SGS event for the way it rewards risk, bravery, and creativity. It was amazing, filled with twists and turns and surprises!”

Friday, January 27 is a Teacher In-Service Day for semester grading and preparing for conferences. There will be no classes for grades K-12 that day.
Five Saint George’s students were among the 60 youth participating in the Winterfest chess tournament in Deer Park on Saturday, January 14. Eshan Reddy tied for second in the open section with 4.0 points, beating all the high school students he played, but losing to the other seventh grader. Noah Hochheimer tied for third in the middle school section with 3.5 points. Asmi Jain and Luca Hochheimer were part of a group tied for fourth in the elementary section with 3.0 points each. Melody Ji was half a point behind. Go Dragons!
When Saint George’s hosts Colfax in ESAC Gym on Saturday, Jan. 21, it will be for more than just basketball games at 4:30 and 6:00pm. That evening is a Coaches vs Cancer event to raise funds for cancer research and patient services.
“I have coached players afflicted by this insidious disease and have lost loved ones to cancer,” says coach Mark Rickard, who organized the event. “My hope is the time and energy put into this event will continue the positive steps our community has made toward the eradication of cancers in all forms.”
