Girls Soccer Takes 2nd Place Trophy at State

The SGS girls’ soccer team easily dispatched #1 seed Kalama 5-1 in the State Semifinal match on Friday, Nov. 18 in Renton. Carsyn Gildehaus notched four goals, with Margreit Galow also scoring in a dominating performance that advanced the Dragons to the State 2B Title match on Saturday, Nov. 19. There they ran into a senior-laden Okanogan team that held them scoreless in a hard-fought championship match for a 2-0 loss, in spite of some great saves by SGS keeper Henri Osborne.

The Dragons finished their season 16-4 overall with the State 2nd Place Trophy. Great work, Dragons!
