FTC Robotics Reaches Interleague Competition

The FTC Robotics Curie Interleague Competition in Richland on Dec. 17 featured teams from across Eastern Washington. SGS teams 6128 and 7935 performed excellently and without major incident during the entire eight-hour event. See a Photo Gallery from this final FTC competition of 2022.

“While team 6128 performed well, they narrowly missed the qualification for bracket play, coming in 9th place,” says coach Judi Morgan. “Team 7935 made it to the semi-finals where they were defeated in a best-of-three set against the event champions.” In the end, our teams finished 6th and 9th respectively, just short of qualifying for State.

Both teams thought it was a great competition and season, with students making great strides in their technological and engineering abilities. The teams are now looking forward to the upcoming FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) season in early 2023.
