Last Friday, the fifth-grade class took on a three-mile hike to the summit of Mt. Spokane. Along the trail, students studied the mountain’s flora and fauna, deepening their understanding of the environment around them.
The hike also offered plenty of opportunities for teamwork. Students encouraged one another through challenging stretches and showed impressive determination from start to finish.
At the summit, the group enjoyed lunch and sweeping views before heading back to campus. The day left the students with a strong sense of accomplishment while building resiliency and unity within the class.
