Feb. 16 Assembly to Open the “Year of the Dragon!”

The Year of the Dragon officially began Saturday, Feb. 10. “This is the most auspicious of the Zodiac animals, and a Dragon Year is seen as very lucky and a good year for big events and life changes,” reports Head of Upper School Nathan Lill, who served at a school in China.

“The personality traits of people born in the Year of the Dragon are: charismatic, intelligent, confident, powerful, and they are naturally lucky and gifted. In everything that they do, they tend to do it to the best of their ability with high standards.” (UW Dept. of Education)

To celebrate in true Dragon fashion, all SGS community members are invited to a K-12 assembly in ESAC Gym from 8:30-9:10am on Friday, Feb. 16. Expect performances and dances from our students and the Chinese department, along with some crowd participation. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there. Go Dragons!

Happy New Year!
