The Hannah Joss Fellowship includes a significant stipend for professional development or travel. In her application for the award, Brook Lindamore wrote:
“I would be honored to be awarded the Hannah L. Joss Fellowship to pursue a literary pilgrimage around Great Britain, visiting famous author sites and spending time writing in the locations of my favorite novelists. I believe this will benefit me as an educator because I will broaden my literary knowledge, experience, and personal writing practice. I also plan on filming vlog-style videos of the famous locations to share in the classroom with my students. Thank you so much for considering me for the fellowship. Such a wonderful experience will change my life!”
Some of the plans on Brook’s itinerary include: The Globe Theatre, Charles Dickens Museum, Harry Potter Studio Tour, Cotswolds Literary Tour, Blenheim Palace, The Real Macbeth Tour, and the Jane Austin House Museum!
