Dragons Win Dragonslayer Chess Tourney

Saint George’s Dragonslayer chess tournament hosted 45 players representing 15 schools on Saturday, March 23rd. SGS won the team trophy with their top three players in the Lower division combining for 11.0 points, ahead of St. Aloysius and St. Mary’s, both with 9.0 points.

Every SGS player scored at least one win. Four earned individual trophies: Eshan Reddy, 1st place in the Open division; Noah Hochheimer, tied for 3rd in Open; Melody Ji and Asmi Jain, tied for 2nd with four others in the under 800 section.
