Chess Team Hosts Pilgrim’s Progress Tournament

Seven Saint George’s students were among the 21 chess players competing in the Pilgrim’s Progress youth tournament on November 5th hosted by Saint George’s. The school won the team award, thanks to the skills of Eshan Reddy, Noah Hochheimer, Asmi Jain, Melody Ji, Luca Hochheimer, Yanek Zhan, and Vincent Bradford. Two SGS players also won trophies — Eshan took 3rd place via tiebreaks as one of four players who tied for first with 4.0 points, and Asmi (2.5) was 3rd place among players rated below 700 and unrated.
