We will be having a hot pot dinner in the US courtyard for all Upper School students Friday, Sept. 14 from 5:30-8:30.  All students and faculty are invited.  This is supposed to be an informal, fun, "take your time" cooking and eating session.  We will have about 7 hot pots going so hopefully it all works out!!! It is what it is!!!

 

Put your food in the US fridge that morning labeled. 

 

If you are coming and your FIRST name begins with:

A-E:  bring vegetables

            Vegetables include (but are not limited to):

            Bok choy

            Napa cabbage

            Crown daisy

            Spinach

            Lettuce

            Carrots

            Winter melon

            Bean sprouts

            Daikon

            Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes

            Varieties of mushrooms, straw mushroom, enoki mushrooms (jinzhengu), Shiitake (xianggu), oyster mushrooms, etc

            Taro

            Pumpkin

            Watercress

            Haidai (Seaweed)

            Cilantro

F-M: bring starches:

            Starches include:

            Glass noodle

            Chinese noodles

            Udon

            Niangao

N-Z:  Bring meats

            Meats and protein vary, and can include:

            Beef, sometimes pork, chicken, tofu, shrimp or fish (all thawed)

 

We will supply the rice, condiments and some dumplings
