Art Gallery Shows Math “Tessellation” Drawing

The 9th grade Geometry and Advanced Geometry classes studied rigid transformations, then created Tessellations in the style of the artist M.C. Escher by using translations, reflections, and/or rotations. Once the student transformed their pattern, they had to “see” a shape or design and color it. See a Photo Gallery of their images on display in the Upper School Art Gallery this month.
