Each fall, Saint George’s hosts 2nd Harvest Food Bank’s biggest food drive. This year the “Scare Away Hunger” Food Drive collected a total of 3,779 lbs., which will be available for local food-insecure families through 2nd Harvest this winter. As they typically do, the 5th grade won the prize for the most pounds of food donated — 33.89 lbs. per student! The Kindergarten and 4th grade classes were close behind, with 21.9 lbs./student and 18.90 lbs./student respectively.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, including faculty and bus drivers. The food drive also received $5,129 in cash donations.
